COVID-19 Safety

We are excited to be open with special accommodations centered around the cleanliness and safety of our facility. Over the past several weeks we have taken the time to visit our current operational strategy and amended it to ensure the safety of our members and staff. Our comprehensive reopening strategy builds upon our already high standards of health and cleanliness and takes them to another level. The following are the steps that we will be taking, under the direction of Mayor Hogsett and Governor Holcomb’s office, Indiana State Guidelines and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection Procedures

In addition to the existing cleaning protocols at The Indianapolis Healthplex, have added a rigorous, deep cleaning and disinfecting process three times daily and once overnight. Designated areas of the club will be sectioned off during the day to facilitate the deep cleaning. We will be increasing the overall presence of our maintenance team as well as asking all team members to support these rigorous cleaning protocols. The entire Indianapolis Healthplex team has been cross-trained on sanitation guidelines and procedures and will be rotating throughout the club during operating hours.

Medical-grade, EPA-registered disinfectants which are designated effective against the COVID-19 virus with a kill time of less than one minute will be used for all continuous and deep-cleaning processes. Our staff will use this disinfectant in all common areas before and after check-ins – with heightened attention to touch point areas that are frequently used. We have thoroughly outlined the details of the enhanced cleaning/disinfecting process as well as the guidelines The Indianapolis Healthplex staff will be following in the attached PDF.

What you need to know – Temporary Changes

Your safety and wellness are our top priorities. The following are the steps we’re taking, under the direction of Mayor Hogsett and Governor Holcomb’s office, Indiana State Guidelines and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • All members must wear a mask while inside the facility unless they are actively working out, or in a pool, shower, or whirlpool. Masks may be purchased at the Front Desk for $1.00.
  • Mask only area for our vulnerable members, we have created a workout room that contains cardio and strength equipment where you can feel safe. To utilize this area everyone is required to keep their mask on during the entire time in this room.
  • The café will be open in a limited capacity. Seating is limited to social distancing guidelines per the Marion County Health Department. We will be assessing the first two weeks of re-opening and utilizing this time to adjust according to member usage and feedback.
