Introduction to Taekwondo: Fostering Character & Strength in Kids
These classes are designed to introduce students to the basic principles of taekwondo. Kids will focus on character development and strengthening the mind, body, and spirit through physical exercise, form practice, and team building games.
A uniform known as a dobok (pronounced “toe-bok”) is required for this class and helps to promote integrity and responsibility. They are also mandatory for belt tests, which are held up to twice a year depending on student progress. Students must earn three stripes at the instructor’s discretion to be eligible for belt testing. Ranks start at the beginner level and advance all the way to the recommended black belt.
